SCORPIO 250 - PL, Standard, Truck
In its available versions: Standard, Pit-Launched, and Truck-Mounted, the SCORPIO 250 model concentrates the entire Dry Directional Drilling technology in a highly compact machine. This rig has been designed to operate in situations where space is severely limited.
In a micro machine, the standard version (SCORPIO 250) incorporates both compactness and maneuverability.
In the pit-launched version (SCORPIO 250 PL), 5.5 tons (12,125 lb) of pullback force and 2,550 Nm (1,881 ft-lb) of torque concentrated in a machine only 1.5 m (59 inches) long now make it possible to install underground distribution networks, or replace existing networks over small and medium diameters and distances.
In these two versions, the power unit (with a VM D 704 D L 51 kW engine) is not part of the rig itself, which makes installation on site much easier.
In the truck version, SCORPIO 250 includes a compact vehicle (truck) specifically built to carry the rig. This truck actually houses the power unit. It is by far the best way to carry and power this machine.
