The range of SCORPIO systems, conceived and developed by FTM D for Dry Directional Drilling, starts from SCORPIO 250 micro-rigs (standard version, pit-launched, or truck-mounted) suitable for the most congested urban areas where operating spaces are extremely limited, up to the SCORPIO 3003 model, with 55 tons of pullback and 30,000 Nm of torque, generating a higher performance than any other machine of the same category.
SCORPIOTM 250
In its available versions: Standard, Pit-Launched, and Truck-Mounted, the SCORPIO 250 model concentrates the entire Dry Directional Drilling technology in a highly compact machine. This rig has been designed to operate in situations where space is severely limited.
In a micro machine, the standard version (SCORPIO 250) incorporates both compactness and maneuverability.

In the pit-launched version (SCORPIO 250 PL), 5.5 tons (12,125 lb) of pullback force and 2,550 Nm (1,881 ft-lb) of torque concentrated in a machine only 1.5 m (59 inches) long now make it possible to install underground distribution networks, or replace existing networks over small and medium diameters and distances.
In these two versions, the power unit (with a VM D 704 D L 51 kW engine) is not part of the rig itself, which makes installation on site much easier.

In the truck version, SCORPIO 250 includes a compact vehicle (truck) specifically built to carry the rig. This truck actually houses the power unit. It is by far the best way to carry and power this machine.

SCORPIOTM 503
With its 13 tons (29,321 lb) of pullback and 5,400 Nm (3,983 ft-lb) of torque, this rig undoubtedly amounts to a fine balance between cost effectiveness and performance.

It is particularly suitable for the most common installations in urban areas where handling, flexibility, and low weight can be significant factors during installation.

SCORPIOTM 903 & 903 HDS
These models incorporate what is by far the most advanced technology from FTM D for Dry Directional Drilling.

Their astounding features are a blend of compactness, power, flexibility, and robustness. With 24 tons (53,35 lb) of pullback force and 9,000 Nm (6,657 ft-lb) of torque, their capabilities are practically limitless for the installation of underground utility networks, such as telecommunication equipment, power supply, gas, waterworks, and sewers. Thanks to their compactness, these models get the job done even in urban areas without causing any hindrance. The SCORPIO 903 has an automatic rod loading system on board.
