FTM D is a group of Italian-Canadian companies specializing in the design and manufacture of reliable machinery and equipment for 'Dry Directional Drilling' systems (DDD).
FTM D is capable of transferring an effective operating technique to its clients, which has been demonstrated by over 500 miles or 805 km of successful installations around the world carried out on the base of FTM D technique and systems.
This type of underground utility network installation traditionally demands the execution of open-cut trenches, which results in a series of inconveniences, such as road damage and local traffic and business disruptions. The implementation of trenchless technology eliminates these problems, allowing for the installation of underground utilities without open-cut trenches. In other words, the elimination of digging (No-Dig).
To this end, FTM D conceived of and developed an innovative No-Dig system of air-powered HDD rigs, making way for the installation of underground utilities with higher productivity and lower costs, for any type of soil condition and with minimal environmental impact even through the hardest rock.
